(I was going to do a more “message-y” post full of deep and meaningful — thought provoking! — images on the theme of green…but I bored myself putting it together.)
This last one is a rough draft that I’ve got to go back and revisit: It’s a local art installation of a mirror on an easel, reflecting the surrounding landscape. You’ll see pictures of this piece online here and there, usually with the photographers themselves hamming it up front and center in the mirror. I think they kinda miss the point. (Okay, so I got a little message-y there at the end.)
See more of this week’s challenge on the theme of Green.

Thanks! Sometimes I have to remind myself to keep it simple. :-)

just love the subtle hints of green in this…
Thank you, sir! I like the onions, too.

Lovely greens here… :-)
I had a hard time finding a photo for this challenge… In most of my “greenish” photos were just the surroundings green, not the actual subject…. A challenge! ;-)
Have a wonderful Sunday!
I had a tricky time, too — I have a lot of pictures of garden plants, but I wanted to do something unusual. I love the color green, but I guess I don’t photograph it much!
Go green, be green, live green. Literally!
There ya go! :-)
I really like the notion of an easel with a mirror on it to reflect the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Look forward to seeing your future takes on this instillation.
It is an interesting little piece, and it sits in a field a little separate from the other works, so no distractions. With all this rain we’re getting, I should try to get up there this week and see what’s possible.
A mirror on an easel is a brilliant idea! Sunrise to sunset the view would always be changing :)
Yes! Morning to night and season to season, the occasional animal zipping past; sort of reminds the viewer to recognize the art in nature and how it changes. It really is a neat piece.
