(“Shooting from the hip” is something of a misnomer, since I’m actually shooting more from the waist. Being short, if I really shot from the hip I’d end up with a whole mess of crotch shots, which would certainly limit my blog’s appeal.)
The Earl Grey is a surprisingly contrasty film, and contrasty films can get a little blah in shaded or obscured light. So, y’know, calling the stuff “Earl Grey” when midtones are not its forte is something of a joke on us. This one above is o.k., I think, compared to the other shady sidewalk shots on the roll, which I am in no way inclined to show you. Use your imagination.
